The Battle of the Bands

Pathgirl is looking for a band to interview on her audio diary slot… But how on earth can she choose between the delights Path.com music presents her with…

So she has launched a battle of the bands contest to find the most popular musical act on Path.com and the winners get an interview with her to be posted on the site and heard worldwide… and gets paid $1000 for doing the interview!!!!

To enter your band needs to be signed up to path.com with at least 3 mp3’s uploaded, a band biog and at least 1 picture on your band profile.

You then need to go to all your fans at your gigs or other websites you frequent and tell them to come to path.com and vote for you, you can also try sweet talking any friends you have on path.com into sparing a vote (or two!) for you.

But DO NOT SPAM! We hate that shit and will kick you off for it.

There will be additional opportunities to gain votes from the Pathstaff by completing Path challenges posted throughout the contest around the site so keep your eyes peeled!

Voting starts on Monday July 2nd 2007 the winner will be the band with the most votes by midnight E.S.T on September 10th 2007.

    Voting begins at 12:01am July 2, 2007 and ends at 5:00pm on Septmeber 10, 2006 EST

    The band with the most votes wins.

    Only Path members are eligible to vote, so get your fanclub, friends, family and random people in the street, to join path.com and vote for you.

    Each Path member can cast up to 5 votes.

    DONT SPAM THE RATINGS,COMPARISONS, IRELEVANT FORUMS, PATHDADDY OR PATHGIRL PAGES ON PATH. It will just get deleted and you will piss off the members.

Terms and conditions:

    To qualify for entry a band must have a band profile on path.com which must contain at least one mp3 file and at least photo. All copywrites for music and photos uploaded must be owned by the band or the members thereof.

    The winner is based upon the number of votes received. Only a member of Path.com is eligible to vote and each member can cast up to 5 votes.

    Any person or persons, creating multiple member profiles for the purposes of voting repeatedly will have their votes discounted from the competition.

    All voting members must have valid email addresses, any votes cast by members with invalid or incorrect email addresses will be discounted.

    Any band caught sending users unsolicited email or posting promotional comments on the ratings,comparisons,pathdaddy,pathgirl or forum pages not in the Music section will be disqualified.

    The concert must be played live over the phone to a representative of path.com within 2 weeks of the contest close date. The exact time and date of the concert to be agreed after the completion of the contest. Path.com will place the phone call to the band.

    The $1000 performance fee will be sent as a check to the path member, who posted the band or group onto path.com. Within 6 weeks of the contest closing date. Path.com takes no responsibility for any distribution of funds to band members, or any tax liability incurred by the recipient.

    Only authorized representatives of the band or group can enter them into the competition. Any band or group found to be entered by unauthorised persons will be disqualified and no prize money will be paid.

    Any band or group found to be posting music that they do not own the copyright for will be disqualified.

Path.com reserves the right to discount votes for behaviour not in keeping with the spirit of the contest.
